The 2017 Magical Winter Lights Festival, jointly created by Sichuan Salient Culture and Magical Winter Lights LLC (formerly People Generation), opened on November 10th, 2017 at the Bay Greyhound Park, south of Houston. The period of the festival during Thanksgiving-Day, Chris-max and New year, until Jan 3th, 2018. The local people were deeply impressed by the splendor of the lanterns, the brilliance of the acrobatic performances, and the broad and profound of the intangible cultural heritage.

     It has obtained certain harvest diligently and affirmation of the locals through the past three years. and it is approved by official of the government, and it was promoted by by the Houston tourist office website, especially it was granted “2017 the best tourist attractions” by the Houston tourist office. The 5-star praise on Facebook gives us more recognition for the Lantern Festival, and we will live up to the expectations of "Texas Disney" and work harder to present better Magical Winter Lights.

The 2017 Magical Winter Lights Festival incorporates more design elements and is more interactive, allowing visitors to have interactive space in the lantern viewing and enjoy the lanterns while playing. During the period from December 15, 2017 to January 2, 2018, we also held the "Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Week" on site, where we showed visitors wonderful stunts such as paper-cutting, clay figurines, sugar paintings and puppets changing faces and spitting fire.As in the previous two years, on December 19, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Houston invited Wang Yu and Liu HongMei, two deputy consuls General and diplomatic officials from the Consulates General of Russia and Mexico in Houston as well as the US State Department to watch the lanterns and the acrobatics shows.

The 2017 Houston Magical Winter Lights Festival has come to a successful conclusion. The successful holding in the past three years has brought us a lot of fantastic memories. In 2018, we have more challenges，but we will surpass ourselves more and make the Magical Winter Lights Festival as a well-known holiday event for Houston citizens, also make the "Disney lantern's wonderful experience stay in Houston for a long time.
